MEFISTO Session at ICRS

The MEFISTO Session at ICRS today was a productive exchange with 3 presentations focusing on:

• an update of the MEFISTO project with the 2 approaches (resorbable & non-resorbable) and functionalization of the devices (Elizaveta Kon, Humanitas University, Milan)
• presentation of the technology developments of functionalized materials for meniscus regeneration by MEFISTO (Mylène De Ruijter, University Medical Center Utrecht)
• and the morphological profiling of patients to predict post-meniscectomy OA (Peter Verdonk, University of Antwerp)

The presentations were followed by a very interesting round table discussion.
